THE NYBC EXPERIENCE
The country’s top travel baseball teams in 9U-14U compete annually at the National Youth Baseball Championships. No other event brings together a collection of champions to battle it out for a national title quite like the NYBC.
The NYBC 12U All-Star Game brings together some of the top players from around the country for a friendly, competitive matchup between East and West. The game is broadcasted on CBS Sports Network and streamed on MLB.com, and in 2016, former MLB managers Bobby Valentine and Jerry Manuel “came out of retirement” to coach the two teams.
Steel Sports wants the NYBC to be the ultimate championship experience for players, coaches and families, and part of that includes incorporating special events into the week. Festival Day is a chance to enjoy the national pastime off the field with events like an MLB Roundtable, celebrity softball game, 12U All-Star Game, DJ, games, vendors and much more. With MLB celebrities at the NYBC, you never know who you could run into!
A national championship isn’t complete without a proper Opening Ceremonies and Skills Competition to start the event. On Monday evening before play begins the following day, teams are welcomed with an Opening Ceremonies and players compete in Home Run Derby and Fastest Player competitions.
Frank Thomas, and Tony LaRussa to championship and award-winning managers Dusty Baker, Bobby Valentine and Jerry Manuel, baseball’s elite are drawn to the NYBC. Faces new and old will be on hand to watch the action this summer at Baseball Heaven. Meet some MLB legends during your stay and learn baseball and life lessons from them as well.
